Air Traffic Controller and Manager
Kevin started his career in the United States Air Force in 1978 and became an air traffic controller in 1979. His career has taken him down many different roads and feels blessed to be able to experience all aspects of Air Traffic Control (ATC). He has worked with Mobile Radar Approach Control in the Air Force, and was in the 3rd military operating base at Tinker Air Force Base.
He was assigned to the New York TRACON (N90), a FAA Terminal Radar Approach Control in Westbury, New York, on Aug 6, 1981 and transitioned in this post to the FAA from the military in 1982. While working in New York, Kevin learned to fly in 1984 and has been an active pilot since. Retirement came in 2007 after 25 years as a controller and supervisor at various TRACON locations including Dulles and SoCal.
After retirement, Kevin began working in contract towers and came to Florida to work at the Leesburg International Tower. He joined the Bartow Executive Airport’s tower in January of 2014 and became the manager of the tower in 2016.
